Cooking Courses and Jam/Marmalade Making Courses

Jam Making
This course is available throughout the year and will focus on fresh fruit in season.
Our program is aimed at the complete beginner.
Spend time learning the jam making techniques whilst enjoying a full program.
The course includes:
Visiting the orchard and learning about local fruit and vegetables.
You will be guided through the whole process of jam making.
The course is completely hands-on. You can take your jams away with you.
This course is also a great opportunity to practice your English whilst hearing and discussing techniques and ideas.
The course also includes sightseeing of our beautiful island.

Cooking Course
This would consist of cooking typical Maltese dishes. You will participate in all the sourcing, preparation and cooking processes.
The course is completely hands-on and you will later eat the food that you have prepared. Once again this course is a perfect opportunity to practice your English whilst learning divers cooking techniques and local dishes.
Visiting fish and vegetable markets.
The course also includes sightseeing of our beautiful island.
You will be given homemade marmalade as a gift together with a book with the recipes cooked.

Olive Pressing
In the month of September we are offering a unique opportunity to experience the trade of olive picking and pressing for olive oil.
The course is completely hands-on. You will participate in olive picking and you will spend time working on the various pressing process whilst learning about the history of olive pressing on the island. This course too provides you with a perfect opportunity to practice your English whilst learning.
Visiting old olive presses.
The course also includes sightseeing of our beautiful island.
You will be given olive oil to take with you together with an information booklet.
