<p> The Federazzjoni Maltija Vetturi Antiki (FMVA) would like to bring to your 
  attention that new regulations have just come into force regarding new imports. 
  These stipulate that when a foreign-registered vehicle is imported into Malta 
  by a Maltese resident it must be registered within 7 days. Therefore, the Federation 
  strongly recommends that if you have recently imported a vehicle you should 
  initiate proceedings for registration immediately. <br>
  Although classic vehicles will not be registered within the stipulated period 
  because they have to be certified by the FMVA for authenticity, at least the 
  ADT would have your application in hand which means that you would avoid any 
  possible fines.</p>
